Should have known, I am no kid, and my experience should have told me that someday you would leave and break my heart. I thought that the bond we had made was stronger than it was. That the roots were deep. I still think that those roots are deep and that the reasons you gave were superficial. However once theres a third things get easier, as you have found. Please stay away, for me, if you ever loved me. For you to kill those roots and for you new partner, so that you may have a good relationship. Soon you will be a memory, a dream, a fantasy come true. And the pain will stop, on its own, without the need for others to sooth it. For I am strong, and I am glad I loved and that I lived in love.

After breaking up with you, why would someone say: "I want to be with you" in the morning and then in the evening say: "I have changed my mind, I want to remain apart"? This happened to someone very close to me today. It sounds to me that the person that said those words is toying with my friend's feelings. I get terribly confused by these situations. They seem selfish and mean spirited.
